Went to Cluj-Napoca on Sunday afternoon last week. Eindhoven airport was not that crowded given that holiday has started in the South of the Netherlands.

But nevertheless my flight was delayed for more than two hours.

In Cluj I went straight to the hotel where I got a room with a nice view.

Was in the office on Monday till 5 PM and had a 5 km run in the park where they were busy preparing for the Untold festival.

On Tuesday we had to stay in the office to support the yearly physical inventory count. Only at 6 AM Wednesday morning we were able to post the counting results.
Slept till lunch and stayed in the hotel for calls. In the evening we were invited by the VP Operations for some drinks. We took some pizza slices on our way to his place and thought we found a nice shortcut through a park which turned out to be a cemetery. It must have been a strange sight to see us walking through thar area while eating pizza. Later we saw some Cluj kittens which I almost put in my bag to take home. We stayed at the VP till around 11 PM and had a nice walk back to the hotel, where we ended up at the bar for a last drink.

On Thursday a few hours in the office before leaving back to the Netherlands. The Cluj airport is under construction in the middle of the summer season which wasn’t really comfortable to say the least. Too crowded, bad airco and hardly any information on flights or gates. At home I went to bed early as I was exhausted.

On Friday I decided to work from home as heavy traffic was expected due to start of vacation season for some regions in our country. My last call was from 3 till 4, and once done I had to pick up my granddaughter from daycare. Played with her, eat with her, watched some tv with her and brought her to bed just at the moment her dad showed up from work. At home we watched some tv before I decided to go to bed.

And now it is weekend.
